A Message From Principal Friend

Two young women pose with elaborate homecoming mums in a school gymnasium.
Dear Eagles,
What an incredible Homecoming Week we had at Pasadena High! From the spirit days and the energy of the pep rally to the pride at the Homecoming Game and dance, our students, staff, and community showed once again Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a memorable celebration!

Now, as we turn the page and close out the second six weeks, it’s time to refocus and finish strong. Grades are due this Friday, and this week is the final opportunity to complete any missing assignments or improve grades before the reporting period ends.

We encourage all students to take advantage of after-school tutorials available. The tutorial bus leaves at 4:30 PM to ensure everyone can stay for extra help. Whether your student needs to raise a grade, complete a project, or get clarity on classwork this is the week to make it happen.

And remember attendance matters. Being in class every day is the most powerful step toward success. Missing instruction means missed opportunities, and we want every Eagle to stay on track for their goals.

Please check your student’s grades and attendance weekly in Skyward Family Access, and encourage them to stay engaged and finish strong.

We’re proud of the hard work our students are doing, and we know the best is yet to come.

With Eagle Pride,
Mr. Friend
Principal

Eagle Highlights

Week in Review

💚 Homecoming Week Recap: Eagle Pride in Full Rhythm!

Last week, Pasadena High School was alive with excitement as we celebrated Homecoming 2025 – “The Rhythm of Rio!” From the vibrant spirit days and creative outfits to the energy of our Green & White Pep Rally, our students, staff, and alumni came together to make it a truly unforgettable week.
We want to thank everyone who helped bring the celebration to life — our cheerleaders, Eagle Escorts, band, drill team, coaches, and student council — for filling the halls and stadium with Eagle spirit. A special thank-you goes out to our alumni who returned to campus for the pep rally and game to celebrate Pasadena’s long-standing traditions and pride.
The week ended with our Homecoming Game, where the stands were packed with green and white, echoing our motto loud and clear:
Eagle Pride Never Dies!

Habits FOR Success!

Grades for the first six weeks were finalized on Friday. For students who did not pass one or more classes, we are offering Recovery Saturday sessions to help them get back on track.
The most common reason students are not passing is attendance. Missing class means missing instruction, assignments, and valuable learning time. Recovery Saturday is a chance to reset those habits and complete grade recovery work in a focused setting.
Your support is critical! Please ensure your student attends if they were not successful during the first grading period. Recovery Saturdays provide:
  • Signed up for Grade Recovery by teacher
  • Focused help in core subjects
  • A structured opportunity to build strong attendance and academic habits
This is an important step in keeping them on pace for graduation and future opportunities.

Thank you for partnering with us to make sure every Eagle has the chance to succeed.

Check your students grades and attendance weekly through Skyward Family Help.
