A Message From Principal Mr.Friend

A large group of people cheer with their arms raised in a conference room.

We Are Ready!

Dear Mighty Eagle Families,
We’re officially back, and as you can see in the photo, the whole staff is super excited to welcome our students, parents, and community into the 2025–2026 school year!
This year already off to an incredible start. Over the past week, our teachers and staff have been preparing, planning, and pouring their hearts into making this year special for every student who walks through our doors.
To ensure a smooth experience, please complete your annual verification ahead of time. It's important that ALL parents complete this. If done early student can get their school schedule early at the Parent Expo on the 13th.
School Supplies Reminder
We’ve received a few questions about supplies—thank you for being proactive! Please bring:
  • Pencils
  • A few folders
  • Paper
  • Wired Headphones
We're proud to be a 1:1 campus, which means every student receives a personal laptop.
Focused Learning Environment
Your success matters to us! To help everyone stay focused, the state has passed a new law. The new Texas House Bill 1481, which prohibits student use of personal communication devices, including cell phones, personal tablets, and smartwatches out during the school day. Devices provided by the school are exempt. We truly appreciate your cooperation in creating a distraction-free learning space that supports your academic growth.

Let’s start strong and take flight.

With a Eagle Pride That Never Dies,
Steven Friend
Principal, Pasadena High School

Attendance Matters!

Showing up matters. Every day counts!

Because Your Future Shows Up When You Do

We believe in you. And we believe that being present every day builds habits that last a lifetime.
Being in school every day matters. It’s not just about grades or test scores it’s about building the habits that lead to success in school, in work, and in life.
What the Research Says:
  • Missing just 2 days a month (even excused) adds up to 18+ days a year that’s a full month of learning missed.
  • Students with strong attendance are 7x more likely to graduate on time.
  • Regular attendance is linked to higher GPA, better test scores.
Why It Matters for Life:
Attendance is more than a school habit—it’s a life skill.
When students build the habit of showing up now, they’re laying the foundation for a future where they’re prepared, dependable, and resilient.
Goal:
We’re challenging every Eagle to aim for 95% attendance or higher. That means showing up even on tough days. Your attendance is more than a number... it’s a reflection of YOU!
