A Message From The A-Team

A diverse group of people in matching shirts pose for a photo.

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year!

Hello Mighty Eagles,
Thank you for an incredible, but long first week back. I know the pace has been fast and the workload heavy, but the energy, commitment, and care you’ve shown have set the tone for the year.

A special thanks to you all for the work you placed in FLIGHT Committees. I know it was a lot to process in a short time, but every bit of it was in service to you and our students.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be working to update and house resources, presentations, and key information on our PHS Staff Page so you can easily refer back to them. With so much information shared, it’s important to have a place where we can go back, review, and ensure we’re all on the same page.

As you continue to fine tune and implement what we covered last week, please remember to use your Red Success Binders. These binders hold our safety measures, key procedures, and important reference documents. As you gather literature, notes, and takeaways from last week’s sessions, file them into your binder so you have a central place to revisit them when needed.

We’ve started strong now let’s keep building to #TakeFLIGHT!

With much appreciation,
A-Team

Reminders & Action Items

Teacher Syllabus

The syllabus is a contract between teacher, student, and family. It sets expectations, communicates structure, and creates transparency from day one.
Why it matters:
  • Helps students understand course requirements, grading policies, and classroom routines
  • Builds accountability by clearly outlining deadlines and responsibilities and when they can turn in documents
  • Provides a reference point for students, parents, and administration if questions arise
Ensure your syllabus includes:
  • Course overview & objectives
  • Grading policy & late work procedures
  • Attendance/tardy expectations
  • Materials needed
  • Teacher Tutorial Times
  • Teachers school contact information (School Email, ParentSquare)

There are No Cellphones'.

No Cell Phones - New State Law

New State Law: Personal Devices Must Be Out of Sight During School Hours
Governor Greg Abbott has officially signed Texas House Bill 1481 into law. This legislation requires that all personal communication devices be stored out of sight during the school day.
This includes:
  • Cellphones
  • Bluetooth Headphones(Airpods)
  • Personal Laptops or iPads
  • Smartwatches
Let's continue working together to keep our classrooms distraction-free and focused on student success and meaningful teacher engagement. Thank you for supporting a productive learning environment.

Connect With ParentSquare!

How Eagles Communicate...

We are continuing to use ParentSquare as Pasadena ISD’s official platform for all school-to-home communication. This is our one-stop hub for announcements, reminders, and updates—ensuring consistent messaging across campus.
For Staff, this means:
  • All district, campus, grade-level, and classroom communications should be sent through ParentSquare—not separate group texts or personal emails.
  • Posting in ParentSquare keeps communication in one unified, accessible location for families.
  • It also to cover you
Action Items for Staff:
  • Download the ParentSquare app on iOS or Android for easy posting and quick responses. Available for free on both iOS and Android devices. (Not required)
  • If you’re new or need a refresher, check out the Please Contact Shea, and Evelyn.
