We're excited to welcome your family to Pasadena Independent School District! The enrollment process is designed to ensure we have the information we need to support your child's success. Whether you're enrolling a student for the first time or verifying information for a returning student, we're here to help make the process smooth and straightforward.

Enrollment Requirements

To enroll your child in Pasadena ISD, you will need to provide:

• Proof of Residency (required at enrollment)
• Birth Certificate (certified copy)
• Immunization Records (current and complete)
• Academic Records (transcripts from previous schools, if transferring)
• Parent/Guardian Contact Information (phone, email, address)
• Emergency Contact Information
• Custody/Guardianship Documentation (if applicable)

Proof of Residency

Verification of residence within Pasadena ISD boundaries is required at enrollment. You must provide two forms of documentation, with at least one required at the time of enrollment:

Acceptable Documents:

1. Deed, mortgage, mortgage payment booklet, or current lease/rental agreement
2. Current utility bill

Both documents must show the address you claim as your residence and the name(s) of the person(s) enrolling the student.

Important: If you provide only one document at enrollment, the second must be presented within 30 calendar days. Failure to meet this deadline may result in student withdrawal and tuition being charged from the enrollment date.

Annual Enrollment Verification

All families must verify student information annually through Skyward Family Access at the beginning of each school year. This verification process ensures we have current information and helps determine eligibility for programs and services.

Early Registration

Early Registration is held on designated dates in August for students new to the District. We recommend having all required records ready:

• Immunization records
• Birth certificate
• Academic records from previous school(s)

Student Transfers

In-District Transfers

Students wishing to attend a school other than their zoned campus may apply for an In-District Transfer. Both principals must agree to the transfer; if either principal disagrees, the transfer is denied. Transfers must be renewed annually, and transportation is not provided for In-District Transfers.

Out-of-District Transfers

Students living outside Pasadena ISD boundaries may apply for an Out-of-District Transfer. Prior-year educational documents must be submitted with the application.

Note: If your family becomes a nonresident mid-year, submit an Out-of-District Transfer application immediately to remain enrolled.

Special Enrollment Situations

Nonresident Student in Grandparent's Care: Texas law permits enrollment if a grandparent provides significant before/after-school care and the parent(s) reside outside District boundaries. An Out-of-District Transfer application must be approved first.

Students Living with a Guardian: Proof of guardianship should be presented at enrollment.

Families Living with Other Families: Verification from the "host" family confirming joint occupancy is required. Complete a Student Residency Questionnaire (SRQ) at enrollment.
