Special Education (SPED)
Special education services are available to eligible students ages 3–21 and are designed to provide a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) tailored to individual needs. Services are determined by the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee and may include a variety of instructional settings, from inclusive classroom support to specialized programs. Students receive individualized instruction, related services, and accommodations based on their unique learning needs, with a focus on success in the least restrictive environment possible.

Section 504 Services
Section 504 provides accommodations and supports for students with disabilities that may impact their learning but do not require specialized instruction under special education. These supports ensure that students have equal access to instruction, facilities, and school activities. English as a Second Language (ESL) / Multilingual Programs
The ESL program supports Emergent Bilingual students in developing proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English while mastering grade-level content. Instruction integrates language development with academic coursework through content-based language instruction, allowing students to build English skills in all subject areas. Pasadena ISD’s multilingual programs also promote bilingualism, cultural awareness, and global readiness, helping students become effective communicators and engaged global citizens.
